Pacific Life Re makes key regional appointments
Pacific Life Re has made several appointments in its Australian and Asia-Pacific protection business.
Tyson Johnston, MD of the Australian business and head of global protection strategy, has been promoted to MD protection for Asia-Pacific and global strategy.
He will continue to report to EVP global protection Andrew Gill.
“Over the past seven years, Tyson has demonstrated excellent strategic leadership and we’re confident he will drive our growth in the Asia-Pacific region,” Mr Gill said.
Martyn Gilling, head of client solutions for Australia, will assume many of Mr Johnston’s previous responsibilities in a new role as GM protection for Australia.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in reinsurance markets in Australia and overseas.
Matthew Larkin will become head of client solutions for Australia, leading the company’s protection market strategy and sales initiatives. He was previously client strategy and solutions director, according to his LinkedIn.
