New president for AFA
Michael Murphy has been named President of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA), taking over from Robin Yates – and he’s getting straight down to business.
Mr Murphy, the principal of Murphy Financial Solutions in Adelaide, has 20 years’ experience in the industry and says his first order of business will be “to raise the profile of insurance for all Australians, and in doing so raise the profile of the AFA”.
“There is a need for Australians to insure, and they should seek a member of our association to provide them with advice,” he said.
Former AFA Tasmania director John Batchelor replaced Mr Murphy as Vice President.
