New minister Robert to address AFA conference
Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert, who took over the financial services portfolio last month, will address the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) conference on Friday next week.
Mr Robert’s first speech to the group follows the release of the Hayne royal commission interim report and comes as the Financial Standards and Ethics Authority moves forward on education and professional development proposals.
Financial services passed from Kelly O’Dwyer to Mr Robert in a ministerial portfolio shake-up after Scott Morrison defeated Malcolm Turnbull in a ballot to become Prime Minister.
The AFA conference will be held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast from October 10-12.
