New CFO for Partners Life
Auckland-based Partners life has appointed Sean Kam as its new CFO.
Mr Kam was previously CFO at Heartland NZ and other roles during the past 10 years have included a spell as COO of ABN AMRO NZ.
Life Partners MD Naomi Ballantyne says the company had undertaken an extensive search before making the appointment.
“Mr Kam brings to our company a strong market reputation developed during 20 years in strategically focused finance positions in both listed companies and financial institutions,” she said.
“His experience will be invaluable as Partners Life continues to manage exceptional growth in market share across its range of life risk and business protection products.”
Life Partners was founded in August 2010 by Ms Ballantyne, Chris and Richard Coon.
Recently the company was given a Secure B++ rating by AM Best. Partners Life currently has a market value of $NZ78 million ($61 million) and its solvency capital at March 31 was about $NZ14 million ($11 million).
