More content online for advisers

Life insurers are continuing the push to put more information online for advisers and their clients.

OnePath has launched an online application called OneView Life that will enable advisers to see client and policy information.

Meanwhile AMP has added a series of educational videos on its customer website while also simplifying its layout.

OnePath Head of Retail Product Gerard Kerr says the new application builds on the existing tacking system that allows advisers to view the status of applications in suspense.

“OneView addresses the growing adviser demand for fast and easy online technology solutions,” he said.

“In a post-Future of Financial Advice world, ongoing service is going to become an even more important part of an adviser’s value proposition.

“That’s why it’s so important for advisers to be able to see their whole inforce book and more easily identify advice opportunities.”

In addition to the online educational videos on life insurance, AMP has also added an insurance needs calculator to give customers details on AMP policies they hold and the amount they are covered for. Customers can also add policies from other insurers to the calculator.

AMP Director of Business Marketing Cam Cimino says the improvements are designed to engage and empower more Australians to take control of their financial futures.

“The process of reviewing our financial situation and setting goals can help people feel like they’re on the right track and heading towards a comfortable future,” he said.

“The new AMP online experience aims to facilitate this process by educating people on insurance and arming them with options that allow them to take action.”
