MLC upgrades insurance platform

MLC Insurance has launched a new website for advisers and clients with additional online functionality.

The revamped sites are focused on action rather than content, MLC MasterKey GM Dean Thomas says.

“The navigation has been significantly enhanced and it now only takes a maximum of three clicks to complete a task,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The new site, called MLC AdviserOnline, enables advisers to see key business information such as client account balances, client search function and My Client Leads service when they log in.

My Client Leads uses an adviser’s client base and leverages life stages, regular events or circumstance changes to encourage contact with clients on their further needs.

“A strong online offering is crucial for any platform and we wanted to give our clients and advisers a better online experience,” Mr Thomas said.

“These new secure sites are easier to use and are action-oriented to support advisers with their day-to-day business needs and client conversations.”

Meanwhile, the head of MLC Advice’s Risk Specialist Network, Fiona Navarro, has been appointed the new GM of the Apogee dealer group.

She replaces long-term GM Wayne Handley, who will retire at the beginning of next year.
