MLC Life Insurance has appointed Michael Downey as GM Retail Distribution Partnerships, replacing Russell Hannah who is leaving on March 26.

Mr Downey will join on March 22, reporting to Chief Life Insurance Officer Michael Rogers. He has more than 30 years’ financial services experience and was most recently GM of Advice Partnerships with responsibility for leading the MLC Advice Licensees.

He will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and direction of the Retail Distribution Partnerships function.
