MLC Life appoints three general managers
MLC Life Insurance has expanded its group insurance team with three new GM appointments.
Sean Williamson, Chief Group Insurance Officer at MLC Life Insurance, says the new general managers add significant industry expertise and strong partnership credentials with superannuation funds and mastertrusts.
“Our goal is to play a larger role in the group insurance market and genuinely challenge the more established group insurers,” Mr Williamson says.
“Insurance inside superannuation is experiencing significant change in light of COVID-19, and we need to ensure we're providing the right support and expertise to superfunds as they navigate their way through this period.”
Suzie Brown has been appointed GM Wealth and Corporate Partnerships to manage MLC Wealth and build corporate distribution capabilities. She was formerly GM distribution at Integrity Life, and has management experience with large industry superannuation funds, master trusts, platforms and corporates.
Craig Harrison takes the role of GM Product, Pricing and Proposition (Group). He previously led CommInsure’s group insurance business.
Emily Wu has been appointed GM, Fund Partnerships.
MLC says the new appointments support its ambition to partner with superannuation funds, underpinned by better digital capabilities as the company’s LifeView digital platform continues to be rolled out to fund partners and their members.
