MLC Life Insurance has appointed Mirella Robinson to the newly created Chief Technology Officer role.

Ms Robinson was most recently Cbus chief information and technology officer and has more than 20 years’ experience in industries including financial services, telecommunications, media and retail energy.

“Given the importance of technology in delivering our strategy that puts the customer at the centre of what we do, I’m excited to draw from Mirella’s impressive experience as we create this crucial role,” MLC Life Insurance CEO Kent Griffin said.

“Mirella has a proven track record of delivering customer experience by building strong teams, driving innovation, agility and performance in diverse and complex environments.”

He says the new role will contribute to the business’ push to improve the systems, processes and technology needed to offer a better experience for advisers and customers, as well as superannuation funds, trustees and their members.

Ms Robinson started her job last week.
