MLC Life Insurance has appointed Gerard Kerr as chief executive of individual business and Jane McGovern as chief customer and strategy officer.

Mr Kerr has more than 25 years’ industry experience, including senior roles at Zurich, ANZ Wealth (OnePath Life) and Asteron. He was most recently ClearView Wealth’s group executive of life insurance.

Ms McGovern, who joined the insurer in 2022 as chief risk officer, will focus on strengthening customer experience, MLC says.

“Appointing Gerard and Jane embodies our commitment to the customer experience and elevates our focus on the individual advised channel, while continuing the work we’re doing to improve our customer and partner proposition,” CEO Kent Griffin said.
