MetLife has won a tender to provide group life insurance to Tasmanian industry superannuation fund Tasplan’s 145,000 members.

The life insurer’s digital solutions, particularly supporting the claims process, and competitive pricing gave it a winning edge.

“Obviously, we’re delighted to be chosen as [the] insurance partner and we believe that strong cultural fit and customer focus will give Tasplan’s members a great insurance inside super offering,” MetLife Acting CEO Vince Watt said. 

“We know there is no ‘one size fits all’, and we look forward to working with Tasplan to deliver something really special for its members.”

Tasplan had about $8.6 billion in funds at June 29.
