MetLife Australia has established a digital platform for lodging and tracking life insurance claims through superannuation fund Statewide.

Fund members can scan and upload documents via smartphones or tablets, reducing a simple income protection claim to less than 15 minutes, MetLife says.

Claims can be tracked at any time, while a dedicated claims manager will handle cases.

MetLife Chief Marketing Officer Jeremy Simmons says the platform gives claimants greater control, certainty and transparency when they most need it.
