Men dominate life cover enquiries

About 70% of the website’s 15,000 enquiries last year were from men, similar to 2012, when the proportion was 71%.
Of the 11,000 men, more than half were from Generation X (aged 35-54). This age group was similarly dominant among the 4683 women who enquired about life cover.
About 17% of enquiries were from Generation Y men and 11% from Gen Y women.
Some 85 women and 111 men aged 75 and older looked at life insurance on the website, despite the high premiums.
