AIA Australia CEO Damian Green has been promoted to a new regional role at the life insurer’s Hong Kong office.

His new role as CEO Group Corporate Solutions will see Mr Green developing the company’s group life insurance business across all of AIA’s 15 markets, which includes Australia.

Mr Crewe takes up the new appointment on December 1 and will be replaced in Australia by Peter Crewe, who is currently CEO of AIA Financial in Indonesia.

He has worked in the life industry for more than 20 years and has specialised in employee benefit programs, personal savings products and wealth management.

AIA Group CEO Mark Tucker praised Mr Green’s work in Australia and his expertise in group life insurance since joining AIA Australia in October 2006.
