Macquarie Life streamlines medical assessments

Macquarie Life has joined forces with medical evidence provider UHG to streamline the medical assessment process.

Through a direct version of the Unifier platform, medical assessment information can be sent electronically between Macquarie and UHG.

Advisers will also be able to view the detailed progress of all pending requirements being managed by UHG through Macquarie’s online site.

Macquarie Adviser Services Head of Insurance Justin Delaney says the company is always looking for ways to help advisers work more efficiently, and technology has a big part to play.

“By using Unifier, we are helping to remove what can often be a time-consuming administrative process and streamlining the medical assessments process,” he said.

“This will allow advisers more time to focus on where they can add most value, which is advising their clients.”

UHG launched its online platform last year to improve operational efficiencies and make it quicker for client assessments to be undertaken.

This new version of Unifier has been directly integrated into the Macquarie Life online platform, representing a significant improvement in requesting, tracking case progress and securely returning medical information to advisers.
