Lombardo gets nod from NAB
The head of the National Australia Bank’s new retail insurance division has been announced.
Former Aviva operations group director Frank Lombardo has been appointed to the new role of retail insurance operations GM, responsible for underwriting, claims and administration under the joint MLC/Aviva banner.
Joining Mr Lombardo in the insurance leadership team are GMs David Evans (responsible for direct, alliances and transformation); Andrew Howard (group insurance), Sean McCormack (advice product) and Technical Adviser Graham Morrison.
The National Australia Bank acquired Aviva’s wealth management business for $825 million last June. NAB will revisit a phase-out of the Aviva name in November.
