Comparator Lifebroker has started offering round-the-clock quotes in real time through a Facebook Messenger chatbot called Alfred.

The service is a first for the life insurance industry, it says.

Quotes for life cover will be provided within five minutes of messaging.

“While Alfred is still in the early stages, initial feedback highlights the ease of the customer experience,” CEO Alex Homer told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“We had particularly positive feedback around the time savings customers could see from using Alfred and the ability to book appointments with Lifebroker’s customer service representatives to answer more advanced questions.”
