Life peak body announces board change
The Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI) has announced a new board director and member representative.
ClearView Wealth incoming CEO Nadine Gooderick starts her board director role on July 1, the date she takes over the running of the listed financial services provider from outgoing MD Simon Swanson.
Mr Swanson is currently one of nine CALI board directors, according to the peak body’s website.
Swiss Re Head of Life & Health Australia & New Zealand Kresh Wright will also start on July 1, as CALI’s newest member representative. For the past 15 years she has led multi-functional teams at Swiss Re across several global markets including Australia and New Zealand, the UK and Japan.
CALI CEO Christine Cupitt says Ms Gooderick “is well known and well respected in the industry, and a wonderful fit as CALI continues to evolve as the trusted voice of life insurers in Australia”.
Ms Gooderick joined ClearView in late 2020 after almost 25 years at RGA Reinsurance where she helped drive the group’s global expansion into Asia and Europe.
“ClearView is proud to be a foundational member of CALI and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing work CALI is doing to promote the value of life insurance and to achieve better outcomes for Australian life insurance customers and the broader community,” Ms Gooderick said.
