The committee charged with overseeing the Life Insurance Code of Practice has launched a website to improve consumer and industry access to information.

The Life Code Compliance Committee website will publish all committee decisions, submissions, its annual report, annual data collection, and a public register of subscribers to the code. Consumers can also subscribe to the website for any new publications.

The website includes a section in which consumers can make an official complaint about alleged breaches of the Code by insurers subject to the Code. There were 198 reported alleged breaches of the Code in the 2018/19 financial year.
