Legislation dominates FPA roadshow
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is to hold a number of roadshow events on its Professional Ongoing Fees Code and other legislative developments.
The national tour will start in Frankston, in Melbourne’s southeast, on April 26 and finish in June after visiting 33 locations.
FPA CEO Dante De Gori says last year’s events attracted more than 3000 advisers, and places are expected to book out quickly this year.
“The annual FPA National Roadshow is an important opportunity to meet with members face to face around the country,” he said.
“We know there is a lot of change happening in our profession, so this is a great opportunity for members to come and ask their questions.”
Mr De Gori says the fees code will be available from July 1 to FPA practitioner members, and gives an alternative to opt-in laws when engaging clients in ongoing fee arrangements.
“Ultimately, our aim is to guide members on how to adapt to changes in legislation, and help them meet the education and professional standards required by the profession,” he said.
