Kaplan offers $100 per subject off 2021 enrolment fees

Financial services education provider Kaplan Professional is offering $100 scholarships to financial advisers who enrol in a Kaplan Professional higher education financial planning subject in July, August or November.

Eligible individuals will be awarded $100 per subject to be used to lower the enrolment fee on applicable study periods this year. It is available to new and existing financial adviser students working towards meeting the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority’s (FASEA) education standard.

The initiative follows Kaplan’s decision last year to hold pricing firm on all subject enrolment fees in its postgraduate financial planning qualifications until 2022.

“We hope this scholarship scheme can go some way towards alleviating the significant pressure that is already on advisers,” Kaplan Professional CEO Brian Knight said.

Mr Knight said nearly 3000 advisers utilise Kaplan’s free preparation resources for the FASEA exam, including three versions of the Kaplan Adviser Practice Exam (KAPE).

“We have introduced this scholarship scheme in the second-half of 2021 to help advisers get started with their studies and build some confidence and momentum,” he said. “It is extremely important for the future of the profession, and the cost of financial advice for Australians, that as many advisers as possible are encouraged to stay in the industry.”

The scholarship applications are open until July 19 and can be made here
