Kaplan, Deloitte team up on FASEA bridging courses
Financial planning education provider Kaplan will develop three bridging courses required by the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA).
It has hired former Financial Planning Association chief professional officer and FASEA CEO Deen Sanders to help.
Dr Sanders is now a Deloitte leader in ethics and professionalism.
Pending FASEA approval, Kaplan will offer courses in ethics and professionalism, regulatory and legal obligations, and consumer behaviour, engagement and decision-making.
All advisers must complete at least one bridging course to meet FASEA requirements.
“The involvement of Deloitte will ensure these bridging courses are best in breed – unprecedented, innovative and cutting-edge – and will significantly contribute to the fabric of adviser education,” Kaplan CEO Brian Knight said.
Expressions of interest in the ethics and professionalism course are open and the course will start as soon as July 8.
The courses will form part of Kaplan’s professional graduate diploma of financial planning.
