It pays to be a planner in Victoria or NSW

Financial planners in NSW and Victoria continue to earn more than their counterparts in other states, according to the latest Michael Page Australia Salary and Employment Forecast.

A planner at a small to medium NSW practice will typically earn $65,000-$78,000 a year, rising to $95,000 in a larger company. In Victoria the range is $63,000-$92,000.

SA and Queensland counterparts will earn $59,000 in a smaller practice and $86,000 in larger ones. In WA the range is $60,000-$87,000.

A practice manager in a small NSW business will earn $100,000, increasing to $160,000 in a larger organisation. Victorians start at $97,000, rising to $155,000. In SA and Queensland the range is $90,000-$144,000, while in WA it is $92,000-$147,000.

NSW paraplanners typically make $55,000 in a small practice and earn $75,000 at larger businesses. Victoria and WA are similar. In SA and Queensland the range is $50,000-$68,000.
