Infocus signs referral deal with H&R Block

Infocus Wealth Management has formed an exclusive referral relationship with one of Australia’s largest accounting firms, H&R Block.

The accountancy group will refer clients seeking wealth management services to Infocus Group financial advisers.

H&R Block will engage its clients through a dedicated call centre, with the referrals program managed by Infocus Group.

“This will include evaluating and putting in place strategies to meet H&R Block clients’ insurance, investment and super needs,” Infocus MD Rod Bristow told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

H&R Block’s Australian business has more than 2000 tax consultants in 450 offices nationwide, preparing almost 800,000 tax returns annually.

In the first stage of the relationship H&R Block will directly market to more than 1000 clients every week. In the next financial year the program will reach full scale, with the aim of reaching all H&R Block clients.

Mr Bristow says the accountancy firm chose Infocus because of its national adviser network and full range of services.

“Our in-house financial advice management software, lack of alignment to product providers, trusted brand and robust governance were also highlighted by H&R Block as key decision factors in its choice,” he said.
