IFSA names John Brogden as new CEO
Former NSW Liberal Party Opposition leader John Brogden is the new face of the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA) following his appointment as CEO last week.
He replaces Richard Gilbert, who has stepped down to take a part-time role as an associate director.
Mr Brogden led the NSW Liberals between 2002-05 after joining the state parliament in 1996. More recently he served as CEO of Manchester Unity and as independent chairman of industry body Abacus.
He will take up his new role on August 28. IFSA has more than 140 financial service provider members drawn from the investment, life insurance and financial services sectors.
IFSA Chairman David Deverall says Mr Brogden’s experience will help meet “the challenge of change which gives this industry the chance to grasp fresh opportunities”.
