IFSA award winners announced
Winners of the inaugural Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA) industry awards were announced last week by Assistant Treasurer Mal Brough. The awards recognise the efforts of individuals who have achieved considerable success in public policy and those who have contributed to the industry through their committee and working group efforts.
MLC Head of Tax Michael Brown was recognised for his work with the IFSA Tax Working Group since 1998 and attendance at more than 240 meetings.
Nicolette Rubinsztein, GM Strategy at Colonial First State, received an award for her contribution to IFSA processes and co-ordinating the affairs of her company over a long period.
David Shirlow, Division Director Technical Services at Macquarie Bank, was recognised for his skill in policy, legal and superannuation, which he contributed to the industry at large.
IFSA Senior Policy Manager Superannuation and Retirement Incomes Bill Stanhope was recognised as one of the nation’s foremost retirement income specialists. Mr Stanhope previously worked with the Australian Taxation Office and Department of Finance.
