iExtend has appointed Wes King as distribution manager in WA.

He is the business’ first locally based operative in the state and will work with financial advisers and their clients. 

Mr King was most recently business partnerships manager at Resolution Life and before that worked at Integrity Life, Guardian Advice and OnePath.

“We are excited to be expanding our team with Wes’ appointment on the west coast, a reflection of the momentum iExtend is continuing to build in the market and with financial advisers over the past two years, particularly since the acquisition of our retail licence earlier this year,” head of distribution Protip DasGupta said.

iExtend secured its financial services licence in July. The business, launched in 2022, owns part interests in policyholders’ term life covers, and pays all premium on the ‘co-owned’ portion. When a payout is made, the business shares it with the nominated beneficiaries or estate.

iExtend’s offer is available only through financial advisers.
