HBF Health MD Robert Bransby has been appointed a non-executive director on the board overseeing Commonwealth Bank’s advice companies.

The board covers Commonwealth Financial Planning, BW Financial Advice, Financial Wisdom and Count Financial.

Mr Bransby has 25 years’ experience with various financial services and health organisations.

In addition to his role at health insurer HBF, he is a director of Private Healthcare Australia, the International Federation of Health Plans, Members Own Health Funds, Pioneer Credit, Goldfields Money, Synergy and the Insurance Commission of WA.

Advice board chairman Anne Templeman-Jones says Mr Bransby will bring a new perspective and “assist in the success of the strategy in making advice more accessible and affordable”.
