Governments push Sydney’s financial services role
Federal and state government leaders are working to put Sydney and Australia on the world’s financial services map.
Assistant Treasurer Chris Bowen says the Financial Services Hub Summit in Sydney late next month will develop policies and strategies to boost Australia’s position as a regional financial services hub.
“Young people who want a future in financial services should not feel the need to move to London, New York or Dublin – there should be opportunities right here in Sydney and Australia,” he said.
The summit will be held at the NSW Trade and Investment Centre and will bring together leaders in industry, government and academia.
