Elio Garino has been appointed GM Retail Insurance Operations at MLC.

He will take charge of new business and underwriting, inforce administration and insurance capability at the wealth and life insurance group.

“We are delighted to have Elio on board to drive continuous improvement and maintain our focus on the customer experience,” MLC Insurance EGM Duncan West said.

Mr Garino has 20 years’ experience in financial services, most recently with NAB’s retail bank. Before that he ran service and operations at Axa’s life business.

He succeeds Frank Lombardo, who is now COO with NAB Business Banking.
