The Financial Services Council (FSC) has announced the appointment of two new directors to its board.

Insignia Financial CEO Renato Mota and UBS Asset Management Country Head for Australia and New Zealand Alison Telfer will take up positions on FSC’s board.

Mr Mota has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector and has headed Insignia Financial for the past three years.

Ms Telfer has held senior executive roles at several financial firms, including BlackRock and Challenger, before being appointed to her current position at UBS in February this year.

“Renato and Alison bring to the Board extensive knowledge and experience that further strengthens the FSC’s contribution to the national debate to the benefit of financial services consumers,” FSC Chairman David Bryant said.
