FSC names new board members
The Financial Services Council (FSC) has announced four new board members, who will also be part of a newly created committee focusing on strategic policy directions for the Australian funds management sector.
The four new board members are BlackRock Asset Management Head of Australasia Andrew Landman, UBS Asset Management Head of Australia and New Zealand Bryce Doherty, AllianceBernstein CEO Australia Jen Driscoll and First Sentier Investors MD Liz Hastilow.
FSC Chairman Geoff Lloyd says the new directors bring global leadership and funds management experience to the board. They will also support the Fund Management Board Committee, which has been set up to advance the FSC’s policy objectives for the industry.
“Australia’s fund managers are some of the best in the world, thanks to innovative leaders and a competitive environment,” Mr Lloyd said. “We are pleased to have a mix of leading global and Australian fund managers on our board, particularly now as we face into this highly challenging economic period.”
