The quality of life insurance advice will be among the major topics under discussion at the Financial Services Council life conference this month.

A session on the issue will feature three executives from institutionally owned financial advice groups: Millennium 3 CEO Richard Klipin, BT Financial Group Head of Governance and Advisory Grant Potter, and AMP Executive Director Financial Planning Steve Helmich.

The session’s moderator will be ClearView MD Simon Swanson. He told insuranceNEWS.com.au it will be “a good opportunity to get the facts on the table and have an informed discussion”.

“I am hoping we will have a factual debate looking at all aspects of providing advice on life insurance.”

Other sessions will examine how lawyers approach life insurance claims and how wellness programs are changing the nature of cover.

The conference will be at the Four Seasons hotel in Sydney on March 26.
