FPA shuffles education team

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has appointed Shaun Weston-Cole as Head of Education.

He was previously with the College of Law, working on learning content and development.

Mr Weston-Cole replaces Howard Cook, who has become the association’s Head of Academic Relations.

Mr Cook will be responsible for enhancing the FPA’s relationships with academic institutions and ensuring financial planning is a growing element of the university curriculum.

Mr Weston-Cole’s role is to focus on the Certified Financial Planner education program, with the introduction of new technology to deliver content.

CEO Dante De Gori says the appointments will help the FPA continue to improve the education program.

“We know our program content is world-class and now we want to focus on delivering the best possible student experience,” he said.

“In addition to this, we want to develop a solution for financial advisers who need to undertake further study to meet the forthcoming education requirements.”
