The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced the finalists in all six categories for its annual awards. They are:

• Certified Financial Planner professional of the year: William Johns (Health & Finance Integrated), Tony Sandercock (Wetalkmoney), David Sharpe (Globe Financial Planning).
• Associated Financial Planner: Cody Harmon (Meridian Wealth Management), Tim McLaughlan (Elston Private Wealth), Paul Turner (Wealthwise).
• Paraplanner of the year: Cynthia Sercombe (Tupicoffs), Shayne Sommer (Shadforth Financial Group).
• Future2 community service award: Kathy Havers (Catalyst Financial Group), William Johns (Health & Finance Integrated).
• Professional practice: Capital Partners, West Perth, Enlightened Financial Solutions, Mackay, Ipac West Australia, Subiaco.
• University student of the year: Hilary Acheson (University of New England), Bradley Aleckson (Griffith University), James Van Zyl-Cunningham (Griffith University).

CEO Dante De Gori says the quality of applications “impressed everyone on the judging panel, with some judges stating this was the highest standard we have ever seen”.

The winners will be announced at the FPA Professionals Congress in Perth on November 23-24.
