FPA names top advisers

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has named Randall Stout from HPH Solutions as its Certified Financial Planner of the year.

He takes the national award after initially winning the WA state prize.

Mr Stout has owned a number of Perth-based financial planning practices and is currently a director of HPH. He is Chairman of the FPA’s WA Chapter.

FPA CEO Mark Rantall says the award is for the financial adviser who best embodies the highest professional standards.

“We look for an adviser who demonstrates true professional leadership and excellence, someone who routinely goes above and beyond best practice to achieve the best outcomes for clients,” he said.

FPA associate financial planner of the year is Stephen Godfrey from Visis Private Wealth.

He is a private client adviser specialising in investment management, self-managed super funds, tax management and investment and wealth entities.

Mr Rantall says the award recognises advisers dedicated to the FPA Code of Professional Practice.

“The FPA code ensures we live up to the expectations of our profession, by ensuring that financial advisers are doing the right thing, acting in their clients’ best interest, and providing the highest quality advice to their clients,” he said.
