FPA invites educational input
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) aims to bolster the educational content of its national conference in November this year by encouraging presenters to approach the association.
The FPA says there is a need for presentations that fulfill the ongoing professional education needs of certified financial planners.
Three supporter education awards will be presented at the conference to exhibitors demonstrating the greatest educational and professional value for financial planners.
FPA director and 2007 national conference chairman Louise Biti says delegates to national conferences are mostly professionals with at least five years’ experience, so the content and quality of presentations must offer them something new and insightful.
“In making subject and speaker selections and building the conference program, we will be looking for submissions that throw light on the strategic, technical and structural challenges faced by financial planners.”
Ms Biti says papers should be focused on client outcomes, professional skills and the challenges arising from business growth and development.
“We are looking for experienced presenters who can offer alternative approaches, practical insights and solutions,” she said.
The deadline for expressions of interest is April 16.
