FPA chair to step down

Financial Planning Association (FPA) Chairman Julie Berry will not be seeking re-election at this year’s board elections.

She will step down at the association’s AGM in November.

Ms Berry will be replaced by current Deputy Chairman Matthew Rowe, the MD of Adelaide advice firm Hood Sweeney.

This year’s board election has attracted 23 advisers seeking to fill the three practitioner member places and includes existing board member Martin McIntosh of Melbourne-based Planning Partners seeking re-election.

Two of the available positions are available for certified financial planners (CFP) and the third place can be filled either an associate financial planner or another CFP.
