FPA appoints two independent directors
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has appointed two independent directors in a bid to strengthen its board and bring some new brainpower to the association.
Facing the loss of CEO Kerry Kelly to ICA in March – where she will replace retiring ICA Executive Director Alan Mason – the association has not been slow in moving to boost the board’s strength.
The latest directors are Bruce Foy, who has significant experience in the financial services sector, primarily in corporate and investment banking, and Rob Gerrand, an experienced strategist and adviser in the finance, telecommunications, agriculture, transport and government sectors.
“In making these appointments, the board has sought to complement the skill set and professional knowledge of those directors who have been elected from among the membership,” FPA Chairman Corinna Dieters said.
The group is yet to name a replacement for Ms Kelly.
