FPA announces election result
The board of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) has unanimously voted for Chairman Corinna Dieters to serve a second year in the position.
The FPA says Ms Dieter’s continued leadership will provide stability and experience, given the recent CEO appointment and a relatively new board this year.
Julie Berry, who was elected to the board last year as a practitioner member, has been appointed Ms Dieters’ deputy.
Four new board directors were elected – Louise Biti, David Haintz, Julie Matheson and Mark Spiers. They will serve a three-year term and take up their positions after the AGM on November 24.
Ms Matheson’s election is interesting, in that she was “permanently removed” by the FPA as chairman of its WA chapter last month for unspecified reasons, which the FPA now says aren’t valid in relation to her election to the national board.
