FPA adds new categories as awards scheme opens

Submissions for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) Awards are now open, with two new categories this year.

The inaugural FPA professional practice of the year award will be determined by a Business HealthCheck survey. The other new award is for excellence in paraplanning.

Existing categories are Certified Financial Planner professional of the year; FPA associate financial planner; Future2 community service award; and FPA university student.

FPA CEO Dante De Gori says the awards recognise professionals who go above and beyond to deliver best-practice financial planning.

“The two new award categories… will acknowledge the delivery of excellence at a business level, and through the valuable contribution made by paraplanners,” he said.

“Just as important is the recognition of FPA members who are dedicated to giving back to their local community.

“We will continue to recognise our local heroes through the Future2 community service award.”

Submission close on September 2, and winners will be announced at the FPA Professionals Congress in Perth from November 23-25.
