Former Perpetual director to lead Shadforth

IOOF-owned Shadforth Financial Group has appointed Angus Benbow as its new CEO, replacing Nick Bedding, who left in August.

Mr Bedding was CEO for seven years and was instrumental in integrating the company into IOOF after its takeover.

Mr Benbow was previously GM at News Corp Australia after a long career at Perpetual, where his roles included transformation director and GM private wealth solutions.

He is also a former officer in the Royal Australian Navy.

IOOF MD Chris Kelaher says the company is pleased to attract a candidate of Mr Benbow’s calibre.

“His financial services, business strategy and general leadership experience, together with Mr Benbow’s high-net-worth expertise, make him a superb fit for this role,” Mr Kelaher said.

“His brief is to embrace this consistently performing business and talented team and help lead Shadforth to a new level of accomplishment.”
