The Financial Services Council (FSC) has appointed its former senior policy manager Blake Briggs as Deputy CEO.

Mr Briggs starts next month, joining from Westpac where he was Head of Government Affairs for Wealth after leaving FSC in 2018.

“Our members in financial services are all playing a critical role in helping Australians, and more broadly in the economy, as the Government applies a raft of unprecedented financial measures to assist Australians during the COVID-19 emergency,” CEO Sally Loane said.

“His depth of experience in financial services policy and government relations will strengthen the FSC’s excellent policy team both now during the current period and into the future.”
