Zurich Financial Services Australia has appointed Pauline Vamos as chair and independent director of Zurich Assure, the insurer’s life insurance advice business.

Ms Vamos, who starts the roles today, is a former Australian Securities and Investments Commission financial services regulation director.

She holds other corporate roles including Mercer Superannuation non-executive board member and Governance Institute of Australia president and chair.

“Ms Vamos brings extensive experience and capability across leadership, strategy and social responsibility, which will play an integral role as Zurich Assure continues its digital advancement and focus on making financial advice more accessible and affordable for Australians,” Zurich Assure head Sandhya Maini said.

Zurich Assure has provided independent advice services to the insurer’s life customers since 2022.
