At least one financial planner is taking the Westpoint matter into his own hands. A Melbourne adviser with AAA Financial Intelligence, Ian Bristow, is suing a former director of most Westpoint mezzanines, Richard Beck.

He has also named Berkswell Capital’s Sally Jablin in documents lodged with the Supreme Court of Victoria.

An AAA spokesman confirmed the suit relates to Kebbel Funds Management, a fund-raising channel for the Westpoint Group. Sunrise Exchange News believes up to 30 AAA clients are awaiting instalment payments for a property development project in Melbourne.
