Professional Investment Services (PIS) has appointed Mark Stubbings as its Head of Risk. 

This new role will now look after both life insurance advisers and dealings with the insurers.

Mr Stubbings was previously in charge of risk distribution and advice roles within PIS.

PIS Group GM Advice Stephen Poole says the new role will also include responsibility for the strategic direction of risk product development as well as managing relationships with risk product providers.

“PIS has ranked as the number one dealer group in new business sales during the last three years, clearly demonstrating the benefits of marrying risk specialists to referral points such as accountants and championing usage of the PIS activity model,” he said.

Risk currently forms 40% of the firm’s advice revenue, Mr Poole says, and Mr Stubbings’ appointment has been the catalyst to focus on continuing this growth.

“To support this strategy, he will launch a series of new risk initiatives including the creation of a Business Insurance & Estate Planning Academy,” Mr Poole said.
