Ex-Zurich GM takes over at AFA
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has found a replacement for outgoing CEO Brad Fox, selecting former Zurich GM life and investments Phil Kewin for the role.
Mr Fox will be retained as a consultant on professional standards when he leaves at the end of this week. He has been in the role for four years.
“We are now entering the next phase of implementing the professional standards legislation, where our members will get the professional recognition they deserve,” Mr Fox said.
“Now is the right time for me to hand the baton on to Mr Kewin.
“He can continue to lead this implementation for our members, and for the AFA as a professional body, during the next four to five-year period.”
AFA National President Marc Bineham says Mr Kewin has experience as both an adviser and company executive.
“[His] position supporting advisers has been well documented and we believe nobody is currently better placed to represent advisers and the true value of advice into the future.”
