Ex-Industry Funds Services CEO to run adviser practice

Melbourne-based advice practice Paradigm Group has recruited former Industry Funds Services chief Bill Danaher as CEO.

He will drive Paradigm’s strategic direction and capitalise on business growth opportunities, specifically in the accounting and industry funds sectors.

Practice co-founder Patrick Nalty says Paradigm has been seeking a high-calibre CEO for some time.

“Mr Danaher will be instrumental in Paradigm fulfilling the group’s strategic objectives and leading the organisation through its next growth phase,” he said.

“He brings extensive experience to the role, having worked in various senior executive positions in both wealth management and banking.”

Mr Danaher has previously held senior positions at Commonwealth Bank and MLC.

Paradigm will now increase its scale and footprint in the independently owned advisory sector, Mr Nalty says.

“Far from the post-Future of Financial Advice era being a period of doom and gloom, I firmly believe the opportunities will be immense for those professional advice businesses that can provide a truly holistic and comprehensive client centric offering,” he said.

“This is the time for Paradigm to harness the benefits of its reputation, institutional independence and operational efficiency.”

Paradigm was founded in 2003 and offers business and personal insurance advice, plus wealth management financial planning.
