Sydney-based life insurance planning practice Eureka Whittaker Macnaught has acquired financial planning practice Warren McHattan in Parramatta.

This will be Eureka’s fourth office, with the others in Brisbane and the NSW Central Coast.

The Eureka and McHatten businesses are both licensed under dealer group Financial Wisdom.

Eureka CEO Greg Cook says the acquisition is part of a strategy to evolve the company into a new-generation advice practice.

Mr McHattan will retire in 18 months from the business he founded in 1990.
