Cigna New Zealand has appointed Earthquake Commission (EQC) Deputy Chairman Mary-Jane Daly as an independent director.

She has extensive corporate experience, including roles as IAG New Zealand EGM and CFO.

“[Ms Daly] has proven her ability to manage diverse and complex governance roles,” Cigna Chairman Steve Fyfe said.

“She brings strong professional experience, as well as outstanding personal values, to the organisation.”

Ms Daly is an independent director at Kiwi Property Group, Deputy Chairman of Airways Corporation and Chairman of New Zealand Green Building Council.

Cigna New Zealand provides cover including life, trauma, income protection and accidental death. It is part of the New York-listed Cigna Corporation.
